Default A shrinking map?

It seems like big games with lots of people are exciting at first, but bog down into very long turns when a few players start getting eliminated. Is there any way to make shrinking maps or maps that automatically take out magic sites and population from some provinces whenever a player is eliminated or goes AI? Or a script that moves everything from a bigger map to a smaller map? Or is the current state of the map/game data all kept in a turn file that is inaccessible?

Thats good thinking.
But Im afraid its untouchable. In fact, the game only uses the map at all to generate the first turn. After that it seems to keep all the data in the Fatherland file.

You might consider one of the Pipe or Tower maps.

Ive enjoyed them for solo play. Im guessing that in multiplay they might create an almost "arena" game

Well, I can think of one way, but it is kind of hackish.

There is a "Game Master" mod that allows one player to gain absolutely obscene amount of power within the first 5 turns of the game. If one of the players in your game is willing to be GM, he could just conquer the "excess" provinces and buy them full of PD that is composed of Seraphs and Rudras or something just as ridicilious. This should of course be done so that the players know what provinces will be conquered and when, so that they don't lose armies to the GM.

If you want to see the GM mod, there is one in use in the Legendary Ordeals game.

Thanks for the advice Burnsaber. I might have to try and put together a shrinking map game using that mod.
