Is there a way in a solitaire game to choose whether or not to fire on a unit during the computers movement? In the original game this was the case.

There never was any "choose to opfire" feature in the SSI games, only (I believe) - in the SPWAW version released by Matrix.

Our games:
1) The normal 'Y' key function to set an opfire range (demo game). See Playing a Single Battle -> Range set key section in your Game Guide.
2) Setting up of opfire filters (CD version). See CD Extended Features -> Opfire Filtering in your Game Guide.
