Can these games be left and rejoined?

Just started 2 PBEM games and they seem way way slow. Possibly if I jump in 10-12 games to get my normal couple of hours "fix"..but it seems like a big hassle.
The games can be "left and rejoined" in the sense that you can play your turn and then log off, and then log on later to play your next turn before the next deadline. This assumes you're not playing a blitz.

I think that 3 simultaneous non-blitz games is a good max. Otherwise, it can rapidly become a chore to play your turns and can lead to player burnout. If you need to get your fix, then you should visit the IRC channel and see if any blitzes are getting started. They are started pretty spontaneously. Just ask. Here is the thread about the IRC channel: http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...b=5&o=&fpart=1

Very cool, thanks for the help. Blitz seems like it'd be fun, how does everyone communicate? Via IRC? Seems vent or TS might be more fun with friends, not sure about randoms. Going to get a bit more SP in, got a good handle on most of my nations - no clue what the others can really do yet.

I was willing to host a server for whatever might become popular for group-play. TS (team speak) would be great but so far I havent seen much interest in it. Skype was also mentioned.

IRC seems to be the most common group-chat choice. No voice-over-net setup yet. Id host an IRC server for that also but the channel on gamesurge.net seemed to make sense.

Sheap I have sent you my game idea some time ago. So will I get a final confirmation that you will or will not host?
