Confused Confusion over snow vehicles

Hiya,

Was wondering if someone could clear my confusion over the overlap between vehicle class and movement class?

This is especially true whilst trying to carry Royal Marines in Warthogs. The Warthog (and Viking, Bronco, Bovo, etc) is currently classed as a "snow vehicle" with movement class of "Tracked". Does this mean that it's carried infantry are not protected by it's armour and that it is as susceptible to bogging down in snow, etc as any other "tracked vehicle"?

Does this vehicle need to be vehicle class 25 (APC Tracked) with a move class of 8 (Snowmobile) to protect its passengers and still move correctly?

or should it retain snow vehicle class (is that coded to be an APC?) and have move class changed(or does vehicle class override this?)?

OR am I overthinking this and have myself confused over nothing?

Default Re: Confusion over snow vehicles

"Snow vehicles" carry passengers internally. I will check the code for "track"... it might need to be "default" but I belive that the snow vehicle class is dominate and setting it to "track" simply gives a tracked sound FX but I'll put this on the list and adjust *if required* but the simplest way to test this is run it through some deep snow and see what happens. If it gets stuck you have your answer.. if it doesn't..... you have your answer
