Two out of three of the teams having player problems are more or less fixed. But one is still having trouble. To that end I am forced to postpone for 24hrs while I consult with Llamabeast again.

I apologize for the delay guys - but the truth is that I have NO WAY of knowing which nation is which in the email change list. So if those nations need to be changed I must rely on llama, who has a busy schedule.

All hail Llamabeast, master of the server!

Llama has fixed Prepo so that I can now properly set players emails without playing a guessing game. So we shouldnt need to bother him any more. All remaining player issues have been resolved, for better or worse. Game should be proceeding smoothly now.

That said - I am going away for the weekend again. Hopefully no one has a freak out like last time? Just in case, I have given Sheap the password to the admin page. If its an emergency, you'll need to get in touch with him. But please be responsible - Sheap was very generous to watch the game at all so make every effort to get your turns in on time and handle problems on your own.

I'm making a request to switch to 48 hour turns now that the game has quite obviously passed the initial expansion stage for many players and teams.

Would anyone else also prefer to switch to 48 hours turns from now on? Particularly those who have a team-mate with a five hour time difference, which can make regular communication during turns a very tricky affair at times

Especially as when we do manage to get together on IRC, one of us is usually drunk

I'd prefer 36h, but I won't object to 48h. It's up to Ironhawk though.

In response to requests from several teams to slow the game timer, I have now set the host interval to:

36hr hosting, with a 12hr warning email

I know that some people wanted 48hrs, but I feel it is too early in the game to warrant that. Try to play with 36hrs first and ask for delays if you need them.

One team is away this weekend (the 30th) and has asked for a 24hr delay. So 24hrs time has been added.

Maerlande voiced his opinions that lifting 'anonymous' tag from this game could be a good idea. With diplo still not allowed.
