I like this! Great suggestion!

How is based supply bonus now? Still tied to admin value?
"Supply" is *not* a deprecated stat - it represents the amount of food that's stored in the castle to feed besieged garrisons. Nothing related to sending supplies to neighboring provinces.
I suppose you are sure? Because I'm rather sure myself that I read a dev in the newsgroup saying that this value was no longuer user in doms. Or perhaps he meant 'was not used any longuer for external supply calculations'

Yes.

I don't remember a dev saying that, anyway (1) the "supply" value is still used in Dom I to provide supplies to besieged garrisons, and (2) as far as I can remember the "admin" value was always used to provide supplies to campaigning armies.

Forts definitely boost supply in Dom II and that boost is also present in diminishing levels in neighboring provinces.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the Supply value is added to the provincial Supply value when there is no siege occuring. When there is a siege, the troops inside the fort are forced to rely on just the fort's Supply as they can't get out to gather the provincial supplies.

(P.S. Sorry for not posting a response to this sooner. I'm having some difficulties keeping up with everything right now!)

The admin still supplies armies unless there is a siege. It was not always this way, but it has been for ages (since our first patch or even before that). The supply value should perhaps be called siege supplies (to late now, but perhaps in the patch).

Didnt knew that, strange because I read the manual several times

The Dom I manual is old and there might be changes in some of the patches that didn't make it into the manual.

How does the math behind Admin->Supply work out? Is it a percentage boost to the province's original supply level equal to Admin? Or is it, as somebody mentioned earlier, a flat increase equal to 4xAdmin (i.e. 80 for an Admin 20 fort)? Does it extend into neighboring provinces, diminishing over distance? I'd like to put the hard stats into the manual, if possible.

Those are what you're s'posed to tell us I hope it is not NxAdmin, unless all the castle stats have completely changed, because then only Ash Ermor could use 0-admin castles. But then, I hope all the castle stats have changed, because only a couple seemed any good...

It would be nice if all the game's formulas could make their way into the manual, along with examples: "A Nightmare with fear attacks a militia that has mistform. Here's a description of each and every roll that will be made."

is it not supposed to be 4x admin value in the castle province, diminishing by a factor of 1 for each province away (so 1x admin if 3 provinces away)?

I think that at least that is in the manual.
