Default How to keep a communion master busy with one hand

Easy jokes aside, I'm looking for a one hand item (or miscellanous one) that would allow me to prevent a reverse communion master (already equiped with a Crystal Shield in one hand) from casting spells or from moving forward to the front line after he/she has buffed up the slaves... I ve only seen the sceptre of corruption so far but that is level 8...

I use a bow, usually a Vision's Foe or some random 5-gem item. Fire Bola is probably the cheapest thing you can use.

Bow's are two handed, unless I am mistaken? I m looking for 1 handed or miscellaneous stuff. Fire Bola looks promising, need to look at the range...

No. It shouldn't. Fire bola is your cheapest option, and perhaps even your only option because other 1 handed items involve item spells instead of actually firing at range. Fire bolas are range=strength I think though, which is not exactly ideal either.

Ahh... but then we have the bear claw talisman and the boots of giant strength who can push it around +9 in total.... hmmm and then maybe earth might to push it up to +13 in total...

Asuming the mage is a Crystal Mage, Str 9, that would mean a total max of 22 range... hmmm, a bit OTT but..

By the way, are the Crystal shield effect and an eventual power of the spheres casted by the master stacking in the slaves if they have the slave matrix at the start of the battle? Does this means a +2 boost to slaves to all existing paths?

Crystal Shield effect is Power of the Spheres. They don't stack.

Ok, thanks... I also just found an old thread from 2007 where you contributed on the early findiongs about mechanics of communions and the crystal shield and matrices etc
