Default Hosting a game with linkys box

Anyone know the procedure to get around the firewall of a linkys router? I would like to host a mp game, but when i give the port and ip address, people cannot connect.

There was a thread on this issue on the dom II forum 2 years ago, but i can't find it. Used to host games but i cannot remember what i did to get past the firewall.

Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answer.

You need to enable port-forwarding. Go to your router administration screen and forward whatever port you are using for your game to the IP of the computer that is running said game. People should be able to connect then.
