Happiness and production

Just getting into the demo, and have a question:

1. It seems that production (research, etc) drops off as happiness decreases. How do you increase population happiness?

There are technologies that allow you to build cities that will help. Also, having a fleet of sufficent size in the system also helps.

Fleet in system raises happines, fleet in same sector as planet even more. Research applied political science to get facilities that help raise happines. Also check happines.txt in the data folder for what effect different events on population happines.

There are also facilities in the religious line and the organic line that raise happiness. I believe there is also one in the temporal line.
