Default spotter plane problems

Hi,

I've run into some problems with spotterplanes. I can't change the aircraft in and outbound hexsides in the spotter screen or in the airborne screen. I can in the artillery screen though. When I do plot spotter planes (using the artillery screen to determine how they fly in and out) before plotting them in the spotter screen they don't follow the assigned flightpath. At least not always. When I use the top left or bottom left for in or out bound spotters, they automatically change their route to topright for in flight and bottom right for out flight. The other hexsides seem to give no problems. But it is a problem in the current PBEM game where it occurred since I'm the left side player (game is Pakistan vs India, 8/65, ME, BTW) and this way I can't properly avoid his heavier AA.
I've done some limited testing and the problem isn't limited to PBEM, at least not on my computer.
Any ideas?

Narwan

Yeah, but I'm not sure if that points to the same problem, and as you can see in the thread, no final answer on it. It also mentions few people complaining about it so far so I guess I might be the second one to run into it.

For clarity's sake, there is nothing wrong with the graphics. The arrow buttons determining in and outbound hexsides do not respond in either the spotter or airborne screen though. I have to use the artillery screen to change them. Planned spotters then follow weird flightplans in some cases.

I have this exact problem too. It is not too bad for spotters bc I expect to lose them anyway. But it is no good that I can't reliably select the entry/exits for Parachute drops.

a) It is fixed - and will be in the next upgrade.

b) Set your air entry points using the bombardment screen for now. Then flip to spotters to plot your spotter or to para to plot your para drops.

Cheers
Andy
