Even the Chinese can't cover every potential invasion beach.
Better to have reaction forces back out of range of naval gunfire.

They're "error" units not listed in the encyclopedia. {After getting rid of the smoke now I don't see the units, only a USMC flag.) The plan was to land them together, load the team{s} on the LSV{'s) and high-tail it inland while the LCM('s) go{es) upriver (along with the Naval escorts). What to do? Thanks.
If there already a unit in the LSV?

Are you using the alternate USMC OOB that came with the scenario? If not you'll get the sorts of errors you mentioned.

The helo has to be LANDED and stationary in the hex with the ammo resupply unit for a turn or so.
I was landing them on the hexes next to them,it works but takes longer apparently.

Turn 24- Three battles have been raging on the map,the north east battle has almost completely broken the enemy.
The battle on the maps south west corner along the road is going well, though enemy elements remain.
The main battle has become more intense as more PRC troops arrive. Some SPAA units and tanks have made a showing.
More work to be done there.
Also three small scouting vehicles came in along the road to the south of the main conflict, lost sight of them during the AI move, but I know basically where they are.

Here are three screenshots showing each battle area, and a savegame.

Have fun!
And don't be too sure more Chinese won't show up someplace ... there are an awful lot of them you know.

Turned up a few more along the northern map edge with 60mm mortars.

Is there another wave of USMC incoming at some point?

Nope.
You have an entire Battalion sized MEU (the standard at-sea 24/7 fast reaction Marine Expeditionary Unit) at your disposal. It would take a couple weeks to a month to get enough of the right kind of ships together, or redeploy the MEU that's at-sea in the Mediterranean to the area.

Rather then do that they'll load US Army units (probably from Korea) aboard normal freighters and land them once the Marines have secured a beachhead.

This isn't "D-Day", it's just the Marines grabbing a piece of coastline so the Army has someplace to come ashore.

Turn 28- During the AI turn I noted the arrival of PRC heavy tanks, and gunships. Patriot destroyed one gunship, and
a stinger destroyed one of the lighter helo's.

Starting to discover enemy troops (scouts, rifle sections)in area's that I though were clear. Adjusting but certainly PRC actions are becoming harder to contain.

Screenshot shows incoming PRC equipment on AI turn.

Those areas probably were clear when you checked them. PRC reinforcements almost always arrive at the map edges then advance toward what they consider key locations.

And just think, a few turns ago you were complaining you were bored

Turn 30- One third done. Wondering where the fresh PRC troops might arrive. Seem to be handling it so far,was a little worried when all that armor showed up and I didn't have much in position. The patriot battery was very effective removing the PRC gunships.

Here the latest save game attached.

Question- If you land an osprey with troops inside next to an ammo supply, would the troops inside get supplied as well?
