Default A Funny Thing Happened and Keeps Happening

On a fairly regular basis the game stops responding. It doesn't really freeze because the mouse can be moved about, but clicking it does nothing. This can happen in a menu window or in an actual game. In a game a unit simply stops its movement in mid-move. On a menu there is simply no response to clicks. It has also happened during the AI turn. This 'freeze' can thawed by hitting the 'enter' key. Hit 'enter' and everything starts up/continues properly.

Help me!!! This is happening regularly. Long Campaign.

Some of my units have a designated "reaction turn:99" others do not.

I have 98 formations and 176 units. 30 of the units (being ten formations) are off board artillery. Twenty six units are tank+infantry, ten are sdkfz251/1+infantry, the rest varied 251-raks, ferdinands, 231(8)s and kraftrads.

All preferences are set to maximum for me. All 100% for the AI. Battle points 50,000 for both. I have 25 air sorties, AI has 0. Map is 100x100.

animation level is full, id tags and hex grid are off, only morale is on for realism.

Tigers are stopping mid move, then I hit the enter key, and they complete the move. In so far as this is unheard of I feel it necessary to cease play until we figure it out.

First thing that comes to mind is that your sound card may be having problems?.

Try switching the sound off
- turn mouse interface click to OFF in the game options programme
- when in the game, go to preferences screen and ensure both sound settings are OFF.

Then try the game again.

Also - I would do a complete check of the hard drive, as many Windows oddities can arise from a disk that has not been defragged fo a while (Only do a surface sector scan if you have overnight to run the job, I only do that one once a year or so).

Cheers
