Default WW2gameoptions.exe trips malware warning?

Can an official from Shrapnel Games comment on why a common rootkit scanning software throws a warning on WW2gameoptions.exe, an executable found within the purchased version of WinSPWW2?

Thanks!

Why would you want a Shrapnel representative when you can speak to the developers?

1) Shrapnel = publishers. They run this website, and handle sales. They know nothing about the nuts and bolts of our game.
2) The Camo Workshop = Us, the guys who actually develop the game. The authors.

As to the warning - a false positive, it has happened to me before with Avast anti-virus. That one put a red border round GameOptions and would not let it run. I solved that by finding the intellisense or whatever module it was, and turning that off.

Your rootkit programme probably does not like programmes that launch other EXEs.

Thanks for clarifying the organizational relationships. My apologies for the naiveté. I'm left searching for the tonal intent of the first comment however.

Thanks for your efforts on winSPWW2.

You asked for a comment from a Shrapnel Games "official" in the SP Camo Workshop's support forum.

Shrapnel Games <> The Camo Workshop.

2 separate entities that you were confusing by calling "us" as "them"!

The Camo Worksop are the games authors. So we run our support forum here, hosted by Shrapnel. A game issue - you ask us, here. Since we develop the game and therefore deal with technical issues for our games. And your issue was a technical question, not sales related.

Shrapnel are the publishers for the Camo Workshops games. They run the website, and handle sales and promotion etc. for us and several other authors. So if say you had a problem with processing your game order - for that you would ask Shrapnel, not Camo Workshop. They know about that side of the business, but not technical game issues.
