Default getting the enemy to attack?

I'm tring to play a scenario but the opposing side does not seem to be advancing. I'm playing what is supposed to be the computers side, i've done this before without any real problems so why now?

I think it's already obvious. You're playing what is supposed to be the computer side. Maybe now the side you're against is in defend mission, and your side (AI) is supposed to attack it.

no, they are suppose to attack, and i've switched sides before on other scenarios with no gameplay problems.

Read the Game Guide section on scenario design, specifically on "reaction turn". Also - you do have V-hexes, of a minimum of 50(?) points each, none are off the map, and they are not all currently under enemy control?. The AI will only go for V-hexes that are in the opposite side's control, and after its reaction turn for the testing formation is passed (unless it dials up a "counter attack" on deciding to advance on a tripped hex - in which case all formations' reaction turns are set to 0).

See the tutorial scenario - there are non-Iraqi V-hexes out front of it's defence which is designed to make the AI go for these as a counter-attack (and so provide some target practice for the newbie player).

Cheers
Andy
