Stug III's are expensive.

The game price for...

Re: Bring the battleships back? AGAIN!

Yes they are cool, but the ammo is old and inconsistent, and making new large caliber shells is a problem. The current attempt to make 155MM shells is a good example. Maybe the Russians could sell us...

Re: favorite scout units

As above, anything size "0", on jeeps or motorcycles if possible. Heavily armed scouts are expensive and not always available but can get themselves out of a tight spot.

Smile Re: Something I stumbled upon

Yes, letting the AI pick your force, PBEM or vs the AI, can make an interesting and unpredictable game. Let it do your setup too and have a lot of fun scrambling around.

Re: Satellite images from Ukraine

Everytime the Russians were going to be in for a suprise, 777, Himars, Patriots, etc, etc. It turns out we were the ones suprised.

Smile Re: What happens in 2025?

Scorpio is right, the time frame might end in 2025 but like SPWW2 will be played for a long time after.

Re: SPWWIII next edition of games series?

Good video, found out some new things on this sometimes confused conflict. As for Moscow knowing that it would loose an all out war with NATO. I think Napoleon, Hitler, Charles XII, and a host of...

Re: Query for Don and Andy.

In light of the fact that the Russians were thin on the ground to begin with (except artillery) and a lot of the troops aren't regulars but Militias, Chechens, there was even supposedly a Cossack...

One more question, sometimes I rubble a building with an AFV just for the cover. Does backing into a building lessen the chance of getting disabled, did some testing but it was inconclusive, thanks.

Re: Artillery Plotting Without Actually Firing Guns

Sometimes I just use one tube out of 3 or 4 for the initial barrage and after correcting for fall of shot I cork them all. When my prey comes along I then uncork all the tubes and they get the whole...

Re: Steel Tigers dev team latest scoop

3D gets old fast, and then just sucks computer cycles. Soon you'll need 50 gigs of ram to play some of these games.

Re: Best WWII Films

The Great Raid (2005). Mostly accurate account of the rescue of 500 allied prisoners from Japanese, very well done.
