I agree and made it 10 1956 since that is when South Vietnam was officially a republic.

the history claims that the armored cav units had tank squadrons in 56 but the game doesn't have them till 60. I just make an armored car squadron and replace the cars with tanks.

I found reference to I believe 75th rangers in several readings I did but I dont remember seeing any TOand E for them I assume it was a battalion.

well the rangers were disbanded after Korea and while I have found reference to them in Vietnam no actual unit size or composition was listed. They were probably brought back in 74 and are available...

Vietnam years are mostly what I play I try the Israelis too but in the early years it is tough cause the arab tanks are cheap and better then the Israeli tanks.

the Green Beret were very active in Vietnam. And there are no US rangers in the TO for that period.

I know I can click in game while making a fight and see the list but that is very time consuming and doesn't help a lot I am playing a lot of Vietnam campaigns all the way from dec 46 to April 75...

Yup 20 troop transport 8 gunships and 2 Utility helos were what made up a Company in Vietnam.

Ok so I found that a typical Helo company was 28 or 30 aircraft, 20 lift and 8 helo gunships with 2 more lift helos as support. So the question is how many lift companies would there be in a regiment...

Actually I always just assume the tank MISSED since when it hits the aircraft takes damage. As for manpad and man fired missiles I have lost lots of Gunships to them.
