Retreating with sailing

Say I'm playing Vanheim and I use a sailing leader to attack a province across the sea that isn't touching one of my provinces. If I lose the battle and retreat, do all my units die? I would assume...

Why shock resistance but not fire? Seems like rods of the phoenix would be a pretty decent way to take a water queen out.

I staled my first turn too, but staling the first turn doesn't cost all that much, especially on very difficult research. I still managed to spend most of my money on the next turn.

You just need to use more. 3 wouldn't be nearly enough. Sometimes it does take a while to kill one. Without a magic bonus site, it's probably an inefficient spell to use against mass bane lords,...

You're sure it works for Pazuzu too? He killed about 200 Last turn and 1200 this turn and doesn't have a single experience star to show for it yet. Maybe it doesn't give experience 1 to 1 for pop...
