Rules for encounters with races with no treaty or declaration of war - i.e. "attack at first sight", "don't fire on unless fired on first", etc. Would make roleplaying in MP games a bit less cliched...

In combat, if one side can't see the other (due to storms, cloaking devices, or other means of cloaking), they shouldn't be able to fire at them, or at least should have a significant to-hit penalty,...

Actually, you WILL be able to add your own unit types... and I haven't read over all your suggestions but it looks like most if not all of them could be implemented as custom vehicle types in SE5!...
