I think it is a symptom of prolonged warfare. The more the conflict drags on, the more probable it is for requirements to change from "A highly sophisticated state of the art tank" to "a tank". Same...

@FASTBOAT: I cannot recall exactly, but I estimate that out of 42 total Ukrainian tanks knocked out, 3 or 4 were from ATGM hits. All of my 10 losses were from cannon shells, not ATGMs. So ATGM...

There was an exercise made by the Greek army this August in which a Leo-2A6 hit a target at 5800 meters. Granted, the conditions it achieved that were ideal and I do not know if it was a first round...
