the main problem i see is that snipers are already at minimum detectable level aren't they? (size 0 or such?) the only way...

The standard windows CODECs are pretty comprehensive, and will cover most items. If something you have requires an additional CODEC then typically it will self-install and/or tell you what you need...

It matters what is set in preferences. If Player #2s point setting in preferences is "XXX" then the number of points they receive will be set based on the mission type and how many points...
