Obvious Error-AAMG's

In a Tank, for example, an Abrams, how does a loader's AAMG fire, if the loader is also loading the main gun, in some way doing both 'at the same time'?

Re: Usmc m16a4 acog

Why is it that USMC have such weapons? Other OObs don't seem to display this.

Re: Your Favorite Time Period/Country

Tried to send you a Private Message but apparently you have elected not to receive them.

I'm VERY curious about how well the V8.0 USMC does vs the Soviets/E. Germans.

Credible opponent?...

Re: Your Favorite Time Period/Country

I like the '70's. Russia/East Germany vs. US, and USMC.

Re: Stabilizer Values

You've written that wrongly. You meant to say "If assault guns and the like have no or a low stabilizer value, turreted vehicles should be higher in their stabilizer values"

Stabilizer Values

Stabilizers should be added to turreted vehicles.

Should assault guns and the like be kept free of any stabilizer value, with turreted vehicles higher?

Vehicles with true stabilizers could...

Frozen Turrets

Is modelling turret freezes possible? A turret freeze is where the turret ring is damaged, and can no longer turn.

Re: M-85 aamg

The ability to fire protected I'd extend to many Abrams models also, regarding AAMG's. Basically, all models, excepting the M1a2, and the earliest versions. A TMG autocannon class for the .50 cal's,...

M-85 aamg

The M-85 MG on some US made tanks isn't on a free mount, but enclosed in a mini-turret.

Would autocannon class be more realistic for this weapon than AAMG, as it could likely fire at helicopters,...

Game Download Links

The links on this discussion board to the game and patch download aren't easy to find.

Many of the post reads for threads may come from search engine users, who then wouldn't find the download...

Re: Tigers

A platoon of Stuarts, given 75's could take out a Tiger up close. One could even change the 30 cal AAMG to a 50. :D

Helicopter MG's

The MG's on most transport helicopters can only fire from a sideways arc, one at a time.

Two MG's on transport helicopters should be changed to a single MG on each chopper.

Tracked

There should be more instances of immobilization. Even frontal hits should generate more immobilization results.

Re: Ammo Selector

As for ammo selector, I'd like to destroy M113's using T-10M HE ammo.

Several shots of HE may be all that's left... bearing in mind Tanks may appear...

Re: Tigers

A fact is a fact, just as a cold one is mine.

A tank is protected against the threats it attacks, in order to perform it's role, that of a Tank.

From it's protection, the tank can deliver...

Ammo Selector

I'd really like an auto-ammo selector, the settings adjustable by the user. Would it be similar to the op-filter? Similar to the op-filter, I mean-commonly the game seems to fire HEAT at APC's, and...

Re: Tigers

Also, what's roughly 3 inches sloped at say, 56 degrees for later Sherman models? This would protect these against 75's, even the Panthers gun, to an extent.

Tigers

I suspect Tigers, at least the later ones, and 15cm frontal protection. I have no evidence for this.

Also, I believe Tiger II's hull protection to be 18-19cm, 120mm thick, sloped at 50 degrees....

Re: Vision-Yet Not IR

I could agree with much of what you say, but raising vision to a proper value, say 10 or 20, may give room for more detail in what could be given good vision, and what could be given poor.

It...

Re: Vision-Yet Not IR

That is, give all units vision, a rating from which the vision rating may be removed, or applied, according to what was the case historically, and realistically.

Re: Vision-Yet Not IR

A STANDARDISED rating, from which to give and remove vision from, may give more room to work with.

Re: Vision-Yet Not IR

Apparently Elephants had only periscopes, and not a cupola, unlike many tanks, for example. In my opinion, the modelling of spotting/vision is not good enough, and could be improved.

Re: Vision-Yet Not IR

Vision-Yet Not IR

I suppose giving vehicles and infantry vision ratings may add to the realism.

Cupolas, periscopes, and binoculars, I mean. Even infantry might be impossible to spot, beyond a certain range, I...
