Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

I'm not 100% convinced we can't bash down his globals. Clams and ocean-gems will only go so far when you have to convert them over to power a death spell, and you only hold about 15% of the map's...

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

R'lyeh's definitely not getting a Christmas card from me this year.

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

I dunno, five turns of attack is plenty to get them into contact... but they might spend some turns wailing around if you overdid it.

I really need to figure out how many squares of distance are...

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

Regardless of the outcome, I at least move that this turn be sufficiently extended to allow for the finding of a substitute. Jotunheim's in too strong a position for me to be comfortable with them...

Re: Apotheosis (CBM game for newish players) [Send in your pretenders]

Well. I, personally, will almost never violate the x-turns warning of a formalized NAP. And yes, Pantokrator help you if you violate trade agreements. But it's probably a good idea to hedge against...

Re: Apotheosis (CBM game for newish players) [Recruiting]

But with MA, at least you can shuttle them around at 3 mapmove....

Re: Apotheosis (CBM game for newish players) [Recruiting]

Oh. I can't count. Thought there was still a spot.

Edited to add: Whichever people feel like. There'll be another game sometime soon regardless.

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

That sounds like a noticeably less complicated method than I was visualizing, but then, my programming expertise is limited to some fairly basic screwing around with Java and SQL.

Cool.

Re: Apotheosis (CBM game for newish players) [Recruiting]

One of my friends who just got the game wants to play as Marignon, but it's taking a bit for his forum account to get confirmed.

I'd like to reserve a spot for him.

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

While I'm fond of quickhosting when it speeds turns up, I can see where you're coming from; and I'm supportive of the 36-hour shift anyway.

Re: Apotheosis (vanilla game for newish players) [Recruiting]

I'm intermediate-ish, and see some familiar faces anyway. ...Also, somebody's WILLINGLY playing MA Oceania. My god. You poor, benighted soul.

I'll take T'ien Ch'i. CBM's good, but I'm fine with...

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

Two down, Man's probably next; though going by the army graph he's pulled some pretty good small victories off.

I wish I had scouts up on the Ashdod/Shinuyama front. That looks pretty interesting.

Re: LlamaServer oddities

He sent an email out for Vendetta as well, I'm not sure if he tried to fix it yet.

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

There's always your northern neighbor, heh.

Though as someone who's not Ashdod, I appreciate your efforts to keep him... er, less uncontained.

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

...Technically, it has one lonely little valley province as well, but I don't have a problem with needing to squash a couple AI recruits there.

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

Hush you, he's not dead yet.

More seriously, great post.

Edited to add: looking at the graphs, this is the Year of Surprise Attacks. Seriously, check Man out as well. (To be fair, he DID just...

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

I also happened to have scouts watching the fight. I think the principes actually inflicted notably more casualties on their opposite numbers than vice versa, but that's not really what the infantry...

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

Aye. Both this game in particular and the server in general are awful handy things to have. Thanks for running them (and publicizing them; I'm a born lurker, probably would have taken me a while to...

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

I don't really think posting privy intelligence falls in the same league as breaking alliances/NAPS or, god help you, trade agreements; but you certainly didn't please Blackguard. ;)

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

Don't worry, I'm even more terrified of Ashdod than I am of you.

Shinuyama's his southern neighbor (or will be once he finishes eating AI Marignon), so anyone who wants to help that war effort but...

Re: MA Vendetta [game on!]

I'm always a bit leery of the "rename a file so the system doesn't notice" solution, but glad to know it sorta-works.

Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)

I've always thought Void Lords were REALLY COOL. Bit expensive, but they have slots! And a lifedrainy trunk!

Re: MA Vendetta [game on!]

Hm. The newest version of Endgame Diversity doesn't seem to be the one used. (At least it didn't incorporate any pretender changes, heh.)

How would I go about snagging the version needed? Neither...
