I checked out the galciv2 website and it does look like it might be closer to what 4x is supposed to be.

Galciv was a complete waste...

He was also a big MOO3 player, even when it became clear that it was a flop. He loved the spreadsheet mentality of it, iirc.

TDM Mod pack.

I get my rear end handed to me regularly on the highest difficulty settings. Huge fleets of enemy ships tear through my space.

I even remember the first time a TDM Mod pack race...

All the screenshots everywhere are the same though. Been there, seen them. Not nearly enough screenshots available....

I would have LOVED to be a Beta tester. Did it for Starsiege, had a blast. Had more fun in beta than in the final, because of some unfortunate design decisions...
