Re: MA Mod Nation Combined Game - Testing Grounds - Running

Jomon remains in the game, sorry about that. I've been a bit busy but should be able to get turns in on time.

However, I live over in New England, and we have a hurricane rolling in very shortly,...

Re: SeaOfInnocence - All ages newb game

Well, with that I am finally finished. I confess that my mind hasn't been focused on Dom3 recently, but I really enjoyed the game and learned quite a bit. (Lesson #1: Enslaving your opponent's...

Re: MA Mod Nation Combined Game - Testing Grounds - Running

Last turn was somewhat critical for me, so I'd vote to roll it back. However, if we're not even sure whether or not it can be avoided, well...it might not be worth it. I'll go with whatever the...

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 8: A Dance with Illithids

Well, he still seems to have all his paths. Same for the mages who died in that attack, now that I look at it. Maybe it's due to being cast through the Ankh, rather than the actual spell? /shrug

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 7: A Feast for Crows

Fatigue killed him, I believe. So, the water fountain died of exhaustion, then became a zombie. <3 Dominions.

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 7: A Feast for Crows

Huh. Well, the Ankh turned my pretender into a soulless. but let him keep his magic. I wasn't even aware that was possible with CBM.

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 7: A Feast for Crows

To break up the meme, they have 100 cold resist, but I'm a dunce. I threw on Marble Armor which gives the stoneskin effect, and thus less cold resistance.

I also completely forgot to...

Re: SeaOfInnocence - All ages newb game

Numahr, any luck with the Roc and Zmey? I've never heard about anything like that, but you seem to be getting the brunt of every bug that's occurred so far :(

Re: SeaOfInnocence - All ages newb game

I'm fine with 48 hours; if everyone gets a turn in and speeds it up a bit, great, but I'd rather avoid any more stales in this game if at all possible.

Re: AI Archers

In addition to the above, Storm and the Staff of Storms are probably worth looking into if you're having a lot of problems with archers.

Re: Which nation for a newb's first MP game?

Honestly, for a first newbie game I found that subbing into a game or two was an excellent idea. It gets you outsides the comfort zone you developed regarding strategies and nations while playing...

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 5: The Empire Strikes Back

My take on this debate, since it seems that we all get to chime in :p

Casting a new global and overwriting one when there are 5 globals up shouldn't constitute a breach of a NAP. Casting a global...

Re: SeaOfInnocence - All ages newb game

This is true. Honestly if it comes down to set one nation AI vs. find subs for multiple nations, I'd rather that we set the one nation to AI.

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 5: The Empire Strikes Back

I'm fine with the timer as is, but I wouldn't have any objection to extending it if people are feeling pressured.

Also uh...sorry 'bout that Admiral. Your Last Disciple deserved a better death...

The mods folder as well; it's a very user friendly system, by all measures

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 5: The Empire Strikes Back

Aww, no more demonstrations of giant power? Thanks for subbing in, SirMu. My scouts enjoyed the show. Also, grats iFRNA, I sort've thought you were gonna die there.

Re: Dominions 3 Oddity

If you're on windows, running it as an administrator when you normally don't, or vice versa, will have that effect.

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 4: A New Hope

I just had the pleasure of watching Nifelheim's prophet go to work, and it was quite impressive. 79 strength? Good lord.

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 4: A New Hope

I think the server was down for awhile this morning; I couldn't get to the list of private games to check them, anyway. It seems to be working now.

Re: MA Mod Nation Combined Game - Testing Grounds - Send Pretenders

I believe after. Well...it should be after. I made a few test pretenders, though I'm pretty sure I got rid of all the one's before the MA shift. Hopefully anyway. Guess we'll find out soon >.>
