I've indeed tested the "fighter" trick, the game gives 5 or so points for every fighter destroyed. With the right items onboard your ship, you could be going around the combat map for hours...

In case it isn't clear enough yet: the Urluquai Deep Hunter is the only enemy vessel type with a cloaking device.

Urluquai Deep Hunters only appear with your enemy strength set to more.
