Re: One issue with patch

I was just wondering if the developers have considered this post. I have read other posts about message delay issues. But I think my original post about the ping sound when a round hits but does...

I tried the new patch and loved it with one exception. When a tank is hit with a non-penetrating round, the sequence of events is the ono-penetrating message and then the ping sound. It should be...

Re: Codec files arrested charged with screwing up

See the "sounds culprit" thread for information about how to change MP3 files to Wav files. It fixes all sound problems except for delay when a round hits a vehicle.

Re: The sound problem culprits as far as I can tel

I downloaded the Goldwave program, copied the MP3 files to a new folder and converted all the MP3 files to WAV files at 16 bit mono attribute. Then I replaced all the mp3 in the sound.ini file with...

Re: The sound problem culprits as far as I can tel

Yes it was realtek.com. Seems like the integrated chip can't handle the MP3 sound files. It handles all other Steel Panthers games. Could SPCAMO come out with some wav files for us integrated chip...

Re: The sound problem culprits as far as I can tel

Alby, I just went to Realtek's website and downloaded a flie named "WDM_A373a.exe." It was under software for Realtek AC97 Audio and said it was the most recent CODEC for this device. Not being...

Re: lag in detonations and destroyed vehicles

I have noticed the delay when a weapon hits a tank or vehicle. What happens is the round hits, then you get a message about the penetration of the weapon (new with WinSPMBT) and then you hear the...

Re: XP Sound Problems - Try this out

I tried this fix. It fixes about 80% of the missing or delayed sounds or clicks. I have noticed that when a tank is hit by a weapon sometimes a message about the pen of the weapon appears. This...

Thank you Stirling. That fixed about 90% of the problem. Occasionally a sound will miss, but they work about 90% of the time.

Re: Sounds

During any bombardment a click occurs instead of the bombardment sound. Sometimes clicks occur instead of proper weapon sound when firing a weapon. I have tried this with the number 6 and 7...

Overall I am impressed too. The only issue that I have encountered is the intermittent sound, which is really obvious during an artillery bombardment. I actually like the 480 x 640 resolution the...

Re: slow animation

My units really speed across the map, I am glad that there is a way to slow them down. I'll try it. However, the sounds are very inconsistent. I tried a saved game from SPMBT and scenario #6 with...
