Default PBW SEV: Can you use the Non-Simultaneous Turns?

These simultaneous bugs are wearing us out (failed orders) and I was curious if the other version works? works better?

Not sure what the exact name is called, but where the game process the turns like hotseat by each Empire going in turn.

Questions on that:
1. Does the turn order vary each turn?
2. Is it a random variation if it does?
3. Or does it rotate the Empire sequence? if at all.

The turn order is fixed, in the order the empires are added.

Random order would be bad...
Imagine if your enemy played last on one turn and then first on the next. They'd essentially get to move twice before you go again.

Sequential turns really only works if you have one or two humans playing, in terms of practical matters like passing around the savegame.

PS:
PBW does not support sequential; PBEM is the way to go.
Er, well, it would be if the savegames weren't inbox busters.

Thanks for the quick reply.

PS, I got your mod hosted on Filefront as an official like Mod for the game. Any new updates out?

I've never had any problems with orders, exactly what is happening?

Ships aren't moving and cargo is failing to load. This is the most noticable issues we encountered. Some stuff is not readily seen and more could be happening.

I always had dreams of implementing the sequential turn type on PBW. It isn't really neccesary really, since there would be no processing on the server. The only advantage having it on PBW would be in a game with several players you could keep track of who currently has the turn file. And the server could send out reminder emails to keep things moving along. My idea was then PBW could support SE3. Although by now I don't think anyone plays that anymore.

geoschmo, Aaron needs everyone's (in galdom2) order files in order to debug. Is that something you could package up for us?

The owner of your game should be able to go to the admin menu and download all the files for processing manually.

One big zip with everything you need.
