star wars mod help

[Emperor Fritsch the Dense]

i downloaded the starwars II mod and have giving it a try. i had a bunch of glitches at first but got past them but now im really stuck. when i try to start a game and load an empire for me to play i get the message, Unable to load empire "blah blah\starwars-ii\ALLIANCE. em". anybody have an idea why i cant load the empires? do i need to move the empire folders out of the original starwars-ii folder? help SEGURUS your my only hope!
