cant play s.e iv anymore

since ive seen the screenshots for s.e v i just cant seem to get into a good game of s.e iv anymore,i start a game but soon lose interest,them pics have spoiled it for me at the mo.lol.
anyone else feel a little of the same?

Sorry to hear it. SEIV is a wonderful game with a lot of life still left in it. I may not play as much as I used too, but I still love the game.

I spent the better part of a month making all new federation ships sets for four federation races in the STM and I cannot even use them in SEV. So really SEIV is the better game for ship modelers.

I think of all the work I have put into ship sets and it makes me very depressed to know that I cannot use my models in SEV.

So enjoy SEIV while you still can.

i didnt think of that,ive made 2 shipsets as well so far,i wonder what we gonna need to make sets for s,e v

SEV isn't due until fall at the earliest, and even then will probably require multiple patches before it's really "playable". That's a long time to go without conquering a galaxy.

I started working on a mod for SEIV a while back, but found too much hard coding in the way of what I was trying to accomplish. Here's hoping SEV is a LOT less hard coded.

I'm playing solo SE4 a little bit more now. I'm trying out new, unproven, borderline-suicidal tactics against the A.I. with high bonus. Just to see what happens.

Funny thing is I was just begining to work on my first mod ever, and it was so slow going that it just seems kinda pointless, what with info on SE5 staring me in the face.

Yeah, I can't wait for SE5 to come out, too. I'm certain that I won't play SE4 very much after getting SE5, just like I don't play SE3 anymore... it's just not the same once something new and better is available.

I'll continue playing SE4 for as long as the PVK Proportions Game 1 on PBW continues to run. Or until I get wiped out of the game, one or the other.

There's a few decades left in that game alone, I think.

I wonder what the oldest and the longest running games on PBW are.
