Sounds like strang happenings are going on up there. Perhaps the makings of yet another sad Sci-Fi Channel "D" movie.

They list the noise as "tin Canning" or the hull being heated up by the sun and reflections from the solar panels.

I sincerely hope they are not using any discount chinese or Russian parts on that thing.
