				 FQM Update in Progress
I am working on an update for FQM. I have rebalanced the planet types and atmospheres, which were out of wack previously. Here are some screenshots from Suicide Junkie's Map Analyzer program of the current version of the FQM Deluxe data files. What do you think?http://www.spaceempires.net/files/temp/stats.gif
http://www.spaceempires.net/files/temp/pie.gif
http://www.spaceempires.net/files/temp/secttype.gif
The gas giant/none entry is for some sort of visual balance aide that I do not recall the purpose of. There are no gas giant/none planets possible in the mod. Just ignore it. |

 | Care to elaborate? "A little weird" means nothing to the rest of us. |

				 Re: FQM Update in Progress
I thought that they could not all be even because of some bug or something? That one had to be less than the others or something.

				 Re: FQM Update in Progress
It could be cool not to have the same pic (starmap) in background for every standard system. For example using a well-chosen novae picture for system not far from a nova (with or without in-game effect). Or even in the novae, making entire cloaked system (but balance issues may cause trouble). Or using the star formation pic for young system (the one with lot of storm). I'm trying to mod my SEIV in this way and if I make something beautiful I may post it. The main problem is that sometime it's ugly and sometime nobody can see it.
Also, adding some object in Black hole can be fun (and realisitc : it would be sucked in a very very long time). Due to a bug I have played a game with an homeworld in a black hole and that's fun ! Since then every time I can I made a star and a constructed world in black hole (yes that's possible if it's an 1-square black hole and the wormhole is far enough)
