				 The planet from nowhere!...
Hey! I just had a planet show up that I know wasn't there before. In a system that I had already colonized, a large planet just showed up with my atmosphere!
Did anyone else experiance this?

 I have had this experience.
Turned out to be an ally of mine with a planet creation ship that had cloaking ability. It went around making new planets out of the asteroid belts.

You may have also just brought in enough sensor power to break through a cloaking storm covering the planet... P&N has such things occur in the wonder systems.

You could have also just witnessed a spatial warp(?) random event. They tend to shift planets and ships around the galaxy willy-nilly.

Spatial warp events don't warp planets... would be cool if they did though!

A cloaked planet maker may be possible. There is no asteroid field in the system now. I AM playing against the TDM AI's in this game. I just never knew that the TDM's were programmed to use Planet Making components!

Oh yes they do. I can verify that. They will make use of lots of the advanced Stellar Manipulation components. I have seen warp openers, star destroyers, planet makers. I usually don't let them get too far past the star destroyer stage before I have to take them out.Quote:

Those also occur in FQM, so if you were playing with it, check for storms.Quote:

Can a cloaked ship actually do stellar manipulation? I guess if it is a boring sequential game the ship could decloak, do SM and recloak all on the same turn, but I still don't think you can do SM while cloaked...
