Luck and order, R''leh.. gold 250%

I'm going to play game with these settings:

Settings

Gold: 250%
Resources: 250%
Supplies: 100%
Magic Sites: 55% (less then the other rich games, since it is LA)
Independents: 8
Mods: CBM1.6
Map: Open to suggestions
Research: Difficult

I'm planning playing R'leh, so was going to take maximizing Luck, minimizing order.

The question is - if games balance luck events in case of current situation, like gold 250%? Or such settings mean less value of luck and more for Order?

Yeah, games with huge amounts of gold really add a lot of weight to order scales. It's very tough to justify not going with order under 250% gold settings. That said, late game you would still be better off with luck due to r'lyeh's domkill dominion. So best decide now whether to shoot for a strong early game with order, or a stronger late game with luck but a less aggressive start. Dominion is also an important consideration. If you keep most of your provinces outside of your dominion you'll have a much higher income, but you'll be much easier to domkill... and not have as much freespawn. Which is better? I'm not sure, games like that are pretty crazy and a bit out of the box. I have the feeling you'd be stronger with a gold-centric strategy though.

Um, popkill. Oops Well, looks like he's going to be playing TC instead of r'lyeh. Chance of victory has increased by 400+%!

Yes, LA TC should be absolutely brutal with those settings. They have my vote for most OP nation with those settings!

yeah, I expect resource heavy nations will gain an advantage in such settings. and LA TC is already a powerhouse, even under normal conditions. lets see how LA Ulm which I'll try for the first time, will work for me under those settings...

Never played TC in any era (and didn't consider it as a powerhouse, just no experience, just it looked for me that horse bows in a world of LA with it's high protection units and high resource settings is not the best invention).
But after giving some shots, I took just one of races which wouldn't be punished by game terms for sure.

And ULM cavalary, in the world of rich resources also doesn't look bad.

yeah the Ulmish cavalry certainly doesn't look bad, but TC's Ancestor Vassals are some of the best, if not the best, cavalry in the entire game(on all 3 ages). combined with solid non sacred troops and very versatile magic(especially for LA) and you've finally got yourself a TC powerhouse. this is weird cause TC is supposed to be at its best during the height of the Chinese Bureaucracy as represented in MA.
