				 question: system name file
does anyone know how the game reads the name file? Does it read in a downward seq or does it randomly pick names from the file until all systems have been named. I have a name file that has 260 names in it and I could add more only if the game pick them at random. |

				 Re: question: system name file
I'll try that, The file I am setting up has the names of real systems discovered by the hubble. Once I figure this out. I will post it for anyone who wants to use them.
Also, I am putting together a expanded set of events if anyone wants me to include any that they have created. post them here and I will add them.

				 Re: question: system name file
There are 3500 star names in this file.I pulled the names from all the official star records of different astonomy centers.

Since the game can only use 255 total, You should get a a great number of random names each time you set up a map. I left in the 200 names that came with the game Since most were real star names. about 10 were not. Hope this adds some eye candy to your games.
I will be doing the empire leader titles next.
The only files That I am changing at this time is the ones that add Eye Candy to the game.
