				 Strange Error Message
 1. Running the Version (patched 1.91 gold)
 2. Running AICampaign Mod

 3. Using SE4 Modder

(3a)Went into setting and made max systems 225. (I make sure that i choose large in the options)

(3b)Added a new quadrent type and made sure they added up to 1000 (actually the program checked them for me).

(3a1) When I choose that quadrent type for the map it does not get anywhere near 225 system.

(3a2) I copied the system types from my new quadrent and pasted them over the systems of a working and named quadrent type that wouyld get up to 225. When I started the game and ran this quadrent selection it did the same thing..no where near 225..more like 100.

 4. Using the Map editor anytime I run it I get the following error message.

 Unable to load data file: C:\program files\shrapnel games\malfador machinations\space empires iv gold\aicampaign\data\quadrenttypes.txt"

(4a) Now I have gone into the directory and checked and double checked and made sure these files are there..and that this would be the right path. It happens no matter what mod I use or even if I use the unmodded Version.

 Any ideas?

The Map Editor is broken. It can not generate maps for mods very well, if at all. You have to generate the maps in SE4, save them, then load them in the Map Editor. |

I remember the days of continus RCE's. I am happy to say I have not had one of those, knock on wood, in over a year now.
Gotta love that map editor.

Range Check Error. They occur when some value goes out of the operable range, such as more than 255 standard movement points from components on a ship hull (this no longer causes a RCE, but it used to be a major headache). |

What Fyron said. Nothing could make you boil faster than playing 101 turns of a game just to have it RCE out. Most cases it was just replay the turn as the AI player and find the HANG issue. It was mostly the AI trying to retrofit an old design that it was unable to do. Or launch to many fighters at one time.

 | So we let SE4 'randomly' generate the map, then we can use the Map editor to modify this map? IE add, move, delete systems and planets and such?
