				 Twinkies
 Because it might stop Combat Wombat from indulging in thread necromancy, or at least remove his excuse.
 In any case I must ask, Twinkie: What is the big deal? Really? Having never seen one in my life I have only the vaugest idea what they are, but what I know doesn't seem impressive. Biscuity type snack, mars bar size and shape. Nothing special really.

				 Re: Twinkies
 Well, they taste(d) really great...though as I've grown up a bit (LOL), I haven't had one in 10-15 years.
 I think I quit eating them when I heard they had high preservative levels and had a half-life of 25,000 years. Most assuredly a joke but still, it did its damage hearing it.

				 Re: Twinkies
 They have an otherworldly quality to them. Soft and spongy, very light, very sweet and decidedly artificial, filled with white whipping-cream-like filling. They might go unnoticed in a bakery, but they are packaged in pairs in little transparent plastic bags and left on store shelves where they might linger for a very long time, showing less sign of age than their plastic container.

 Ya, that's a funny site!
 I feel compelled to update/re-post my TTT weapon:

 Name := Tachyon Twinkie Torpedo
 Description := Twinkie packaged in a tachyon bubble that allows it to travel faster than the speed of light. This tends to confuse and distract enemies, when they even notice, which isn't very often. Some get hungry, some get sick, and some enter into distracting discussions about the shelf life or the temporal side effects the super-fast twinkie may have.

				 Re: Twinkies
 I've never eaten one, nor have I ever had the urge to do so. They're scary!

				 Re: Twinkies
 I've eaten twinkies two or three times, but that was over 10 years ago. Back then, we used to stay up all night together on weekends with a bunch of friends and play games. Some time in the early morning, just around dawn, we'd take a little break and go the local 7-11 and buy some snacks, usually consisting of unheathy stuff like twinkies, donuts, potato chips, cupcakes, pop, ice cream and so on. Then we'd go back to playing the game while eating. We'd stay up well over 24 hours playing until eventually we started to pass out. Those were the good old days. |
