				 New SHPs?
Ok, I have a load of single icon SHPs which I need to stick somewhere. I am fresh out of space among the regular SHP files. I really need to know what number I should give the new file? This is urgent, I cannot quite figure this out on my own so please help me. This is crucial for the development of my mod. I have gotten into the hundreds, in fact I have reached SHP file no. 111. What number do I assign it?

As far as I can tell, the icon0112.shp to 120 are still unused in the default game, I checked every way I could.Just check Game Data\Design\WINSPMBT_MasterIconList.txt, it shows which files are used and which aren't. Better yet, create your own modded copy where you add your own list of mod icons.

Thankyou, however some of those files after, and including "Icon0112" are not ideal for single icon SHPs like planes and trucks etc. I take it you can't go past "Icon0121"?

OK, now if you're looking for single icon SHP, I fear you are, shall we say, stuck. There's the 0054, 57 and 59, which I should think you already used (I know I did), and then there's only minimal room left over in files 121, 5 and 7.Look for image indexes of the "{xyz, -1}" or "{xyz, 6976}" form in the icon list.

 | Planes seem to work perfectly fine in SHPs with turret slots (just as long as you leave the turret slot blank, otherwise things can look a little weird... found that out the hard way when I dumped a load of shps from SPWW2 into SPMBT), and I would assume unarmed trucks etc. would also work fine. No idea where you could find additional slots suitable for SP-Guns etc. |

				 Re: New SHPs?
AFAIK planes and SPGs and the like work the same. 6976 icons should be able to fire all round without pivoting, as opposed to the -1 variety.I've already read that other ways to fix non-turreted icons using turreted slots and blank icons were a no-go and could cause graphic bugs (at least), but of course I never tested...
