Looking for a startrek mod..see inside

A newbie question: is there any star trek mods available? Some background..I was surfing the Taldren Boards (creators of starfleet command series game) and ran across a discussion of this game. I remembered that I had it..the topic was that with the right mod, it might be possible to create a F&E type setup (which stands for federation and empires, from the board game that SFC is based on, star fleet battles). I thought that this was interesting, and have decided to find out.

Basically, I'm NOT looking for a TNG or later mod..I am looking for a setup that uses the star fleet battles races (they are significantly different in some cases). The idea struck me that this could be used to handle strategic conflicts, while using the SFC engine for tactical fights..anyway, does such an animal exist?

Anybody could do THAT probably:

-Bend Code and Game at his/her own will and mind
-An autistic *no offense* genius with too much free time
-Suicide Junkie's Mentor

The game is a monster, just massive in ships, massive in weapons, massive in RULES! some of which couldn't even be implemented unless you want to take apart the whole game.

Of course, if anybody is up for it, some of us could offer help; and medical assistance.

There is only one Trek Mod out, and you can find it at PBW site. Other than that, you'll have to settle with using SeIV, and the Star Trek races that have been developled for it.

Also could you post a link to the Taldren forum where they talk about SEIV. I am a member there as are many here, and I would love to get in on that discussion.

There are quite a few individual races for Star Trek but I don't think there is a "just Star Trek" mod that turns SE IV into the Trek Universe. There is the 'SciFi Crossover Mod' that tries to bring all the major ScFi universes together, though. There's a thread about it on this BB right now. And the Jraenar make pretty darn good Gorns without any modding, anyway.

Oddly, none of these mods include the Tholians, as far as I know. I hope someone does them one of these days. Their ships would be very cool looking.

I did a Trek mod a long time ago. It was just a race replacment, did not modify compnents or techs to a Star Trek universe. Planned on it, but never got around to it.

Didn't strictly follow the Star Fleet Battles races. I just used a variety of races from TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY. Some of the shipsets were redone, in other case I just used exsisting SEIV shipsets and replaced the race pics. Did that for the Tholians. Used the Piundon shipset. Could not find any decent Tholian ship pics to use for a set.

If you don't have Gold, you can get the pre-gold Version on PBW in the mod library.
