				 Human controlled neutral empires
I am trying to add another player to a SE4 Gold 1.84 by having him take over a neutral. We have made all the changes to make in human controlled and turn off AI, but he tells me he cannot move a colony ship out of his home system. Is this a fluke or is the limitation of neutrals to their home system Hard Coded, or just built into the AI scripts?
Ok, It IS hard coded. Darn.

Yes it's true. But it can be fun if everyone roleplays. He can trade planets, and use intel to capture others. But his ships, whereever they are, will always clear the warp orders.Quote:

What about neutral drones? Can they warp to attack distant planets/ships? |

No... Anything and everything that a neutral builds stays in the system it was built in. It cannot go out of that system due to it being hard coded in.Quote:

I've seen neutrals move ships out of their home system, but only after their home system has taken heavy damage or their homeworld has been terminated. I don't know if it's a bug or what. I do know that those lone ships never make it that far |

Are you sure about the drones?
The Neutral_AI_Settings.txt file has these 2 lines that seem to indicate that drones can warp:

Maximum Anti-Ship Drone Target System Distance := 5
Maximum Anti-Planet Drone Target System Distance := 5
