Was there not somewhere an post wich explanes how to make an AI for an shipset ?

Hi, Shapeshifter.

TDM mod is one of the best mods out there for base Space Empires IV AI's...
I recommend you look at the races with the Demeanor and Culture you want for your race as a guide.

Also the top Stickys on this page may be of help.

My advice is the same that wrote JLS: download the TDM and take a look to the AI files.
Think is the only way to learn.
I'm sure that if you have specific question, somebody here will try to answer you.

For me this thread was a perfect "introduction". The collected knowledge of the TDM-Modders . Most of it is still valid.

If you want to know how the AI designs its ships then you should read Atraikius' sheet, it helped me a lot.
