				 Re: OT: Superbowl
I predict that Oakland will throw 5 interceptions, 3 of which will be returned for touchdowns. Oh, wait, that already happened. Too bad I wasn't rooting for Tampa Bay. (My team went 2-14 or 3-13 or something--it's hard to catch those Detroit games down here.)

				 Re: OT: Superbowl
I wasn't much for either team though I prefered the Buc's for being the underdogs.
You could just tell they would make in after the first couple plays. Admittedly the Raiders got screwed one touchdown. And they were playing for too many two-pointers, I think they coulda at least made it a close one (or maybe a win) if they didn't lose that TD and went for extra points.

Was a pretty fun game |

 | What do you mean by lost TD? They didn't lose a TD. Are you talking about the one where he was wide open because the defender tripped? If so they challenged that play and it was ruled a TD because he had possession and he drug his second foot to make it a catch. Or are you refering to a different one? I believe that is the only one it could be though.

Yeah, it was a pounding alright. The bucs started off slow too. They started off with two field goals to make it a 6-3 lead. They finally got some offensive scoring. They got 3 TDs on offense. And 3 TDs off 5 interceptions on defense. Not bad I'd say.

				 Re: OT: Superbowl
Well, as long as I have lived in Tampa, I still couldn't believe they could make it to the Superbowl, let alone win it. But They did!!!!Go Bucs. Hopefully it won't be another 27 years before they show up again. I don't think it will. As a matter of fact, I'll go so far as saying that this will become the decade of the Bucs. So be prepared to see the Pewter Power year after year in the Big Game.

I don't know about decade. I think this upcoming year yes they will be there again. And then again in 2005. But since the NFL introduced the Cap to the league in 1994, or was it '96? I think '96. Anyways, ever since they added that to the league it has made it difficult for a team to be a powerhouse for more then 3 or 4 years. When you are loaded with talented players you're going to end up paying through the nose to keep them. Which in turn will cause you to go over the cap and in turn cause you to have to cut some good players in order to get under the cap limit.Quote:

That is what happend to the Jags over past few years. They signed and kept big name players for their run to the superbowl in '99 and now they are paying for doing so.

Same goes for the Bills over past couple years. They have been rebuilding their team. The Colts will soon be in the same situation.

The key to having a power house football team in this league anymore is to draft smartly in april, get good quality players in the draft that will progress quickly and are able to replace those high cap numbers for the veteran players on your team. If you don't do that you won't be a contender for more then 3 years.

But hopefully the Bucs will be smart with their cap in the offseason and also next season so they can make more then 2 more runs to the superbowl.
