				 A general comment.....
I am playing my second game and using TDM for the first time. I am in the 155 turn and I am getting my butt completely kicked. The AI is using small carriers with nasty little fighters and and then these light cruisers with these tachyon canons on them that are eating me alive. I have been beaten back out of two systems so far and they are everywhere.
 Oh the joy......

That's what they call "the TDM effect", I suppose... |

Use more Point Defense Cannons. Fighters are extremely easy to defeat with just a few PDCs per ship, and maybe a couple of Aegis ships with tons of PDCs and only a few normal weapons. |

Gotta love TDM, eh? I agree that PDC's are the way to go for protection. If anything, be sure that any planets at risk are quickly cranking out satellites (sp?) or anything with PDC to thin out the assault. I was able to beat back an onslaught reciently by just having a moon with PDC protecting the main planet.

Or like me you can play a bit naive and not research PDC or Mines till you run into a race that uses them. |

 Just an update for everyone....
I was pasted tonight, wiped clean. But great fun to be sure. I am getting ready to start another, TDM of course! Meanwhile I live on in two other PBW games.....
