Go to Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Information and look around. If that is not enough, or the type of, information you are looking for, then CLICK HERE and download, install, and run BIOSMD.

I'm running Win95, and the BIOS Version is displayed every time the system boots, on the black DOS screen before the Windows clouds splash screen comes up. Dunno if it does the same thing on other Versions of Windows.

It is. But, with newer OS, that screen does not stick around long, so it is hard to see.
You can always go into the BIOS and go to About or whatever to see the Version.

BIOS MD will give you all the info about your BIOS and then some. The link is in my previous post.

Here's one of the best BIOS pages I know of:
http://www.wimsbios.com/
Also, you should be able to get the BIOS Version by hitting your "Pause" key during your memory scan (on power up). Most BIOS' display in the lower left-hand corner of the screen during that time.

Download Sandra and you will have more system information than you will know what to do with. And some bench marks too.
