				 Saving Designs
I am trying to save my designs to my empire file but all of the designs are not saved. I wanted to have all my designs there so that I could just create them when to technology is ready. But it is only saving a few of them. Whats going on?

				 Re: Saving Designs
Are the designs that aren't being saved obsolete?

				 Re: Saving Designs
the empire file must be saved in the following order.
 1. Open the game with all your ship sets.

 2. go to the ship design window.

 3. unclick obsolete on all ships/units etc.. you wish to save with this empire.
 4. save the empire file.

 thats it

And do not edit the empire when you load it for the next game, or you will lose all the ship designs! |

				 Re: Saving Designs
 Designs are not saved:
 1) you save the empire from the "empire creation" screen - "save ship designs works only AFTER you started the game and do saving through F2 -> save empire option.
 2) designs with mounts on any componets are lost - just one more SEIV bug.
 3) Assuming none of above solves your problem, check the "obsolete" option as mentioned by others.

				 Re: Saving Designs
Id like that bug fixed in 1.85 patch ie the losing of the mounts or components designs. Has been frustrating for me but now i find out it is a programming bug - so MM lets fix it up please. |

				 Re: Saving Designs
You could always mod an AI to make the ship designs you want, and play with the design minister turned on... |

				 Re: Saving Designs
Perhaps the player could choose the AI sytle in designing its ships ie towards certain types
Suggestions for MM could be given below

Focus on defense offense etc. Or perhaps more choices to set up for the AI

You can customize the designs the AI uses completely. |
