				 Re: OT - Connection costs
I pay £16.00 per month for a 150k download ???k (over 200 I think) upload with plus.net. I get 30meg webspace, infinite email addresses and probably a bunch of other stuff as well. They are a good company. They also run an affiliate scheme, if anyone is thinking of signing up.
I'm sure there are cheaper deals (my brother in law has a *very* fast connection for about £20 per month) but I like the company and the extra services. For example I don't think my Bro-in-law gets webspace or anything like that with his account.

I pay another £1 per month for the dogscoff.co.uk domain name.

				 Re: OT - Connection costs
To bad Satellite is such a rip off or esle I would go for that.
Hell if I could I would lay my own cable line from here to the road and get ComCast to hook me up.

I would love for Qwest to get of their asses and upgrade the ancient phone lines out here so I could get DSL.

Who would have thought that 20 years ago I would be willing to give up my old star wars crap for a chance at a good connection rate. God how things have changed. 20 years ago it was all about getting to class on time and now its all about getting the best ISP. Is this a blessing or a curse?

If only I could go back in time 20 years, to be 14 again and know what I know now..... Bill Gates eat your heart out baby..... its William's World now.

I have the same service (Sympatico High Speed) But I only pay 34.95/month (I think it's due to taking a 1 year contract instead of going the monthly route.)Quote:

I have about 256k line and I pay 29 euro of it. The speed varies because it is shared among every line in our apartment house and if there are less people Online, the line is then faster. And this is in Finland also.Quote:
