 The "monkey proofing" would need to be done IN-Game because there is no way for my utility to find out passwords for user-numbers (and quite rightly too I might add. Imaging downloading a PBW game and loading my utility which can read game passwords!) 
Anyway.. as for "remembering" player slot and passwords... I suppose I could work on something 
It would mean storing data in a .ini file for the program (I dont like using the registry) but I can see no problem with this. 
I'll work on it for the next Version
 
As for getting it shipped with SE4, malfador are on holiday so all of my mails are bouncing.  It would be a great ego-boost to get it shipped with the product's patches, or even recognised as the official mod picker      (Even just a news post on the PBW would do      )

As for the pirates mod in my list, that would be V2.0 
It's also not on my machine but running on a friends. 
I don't have SE4    
Will be upgrading it to V2.1 as soon as I get a minute.

As for the X, well I could knock it down by 1 or 2 pixels (it's currently the same sizeas the in-game X)
 
ok : current ToDo 
 - possible separate button to enable Users to run 1 savegame under a different mod (don't see why they would need this if they kept their games organised       ) 
 - Decrease the X size      
 - Add ini file to store UserNumbers / passwords for specific games (Encrypted of course) 
 - Get utility included in SE4 patch 
 - Get free copy of SE4 for writing utility

 That reminds me of a little BASIC program I wrote when I was really little.
 
It would take any text file and encrypt it by adding a random number to the ASCII value of each character 
Have fun breaking that  code

 Ok here is V1.6 
This Version adds support for..... 
AUTOMAGIC PASSWORDS 
Once you've entered your usernumber and password for a particular game, the program will store it for future reference. 
The password is encrypted so you dont need to worry about people opening the .ini file to read it. 
Also, on a minor note, the X (for closing the prog) has been reduced in size by 2 pixels 
SJ : I guess there's just no pleasing some people :P

 Ok I'm sort of at a loose end now. 
Short of starting work on an "all-in-one" mod maker I can't really think of anything that needs adding to the Mod-Picker 
If anyone can think of any features they want or find any bugs you know where to post.

neither can i, but a mod maker would be handy.  it could be simple too.  simply a text file editor, but you would have a menu to say, 'edit facilities' or 'edit components.'  then you would have a component list where you could scroll through the names of components without having to scroll through all their info, and you could add or remove them, or move them up or down.  clicking on one could expand it, or populate its information into an editable text box in the same window.  and that would be about it.
 
unless you wanted to go totally nuts and build in little game-ballancing features like charts to analyze damage ratios for new components you are creating, or ability bonus vs resource costs vs tech requirements for new facilities.  I dont think it would need to let you drag and drop abilities or anything, but maybe easy access to the abilities.txt (like in the map editor) would be handy.
