Always up for a bit of experimentation, SJ. Sounds interesting. 
Only glitch for me is I leave next Tuesday (22nd) in the morning for Ohio to visit my family over the Thanksgiving holiday and arrive back home on Saturday (26th). If the game can't be paused for me during that time, then go ahead and boot me (rather than me miss crucial beginning turns and lousing the game up).

If it's anwhere in the western third of the state you should be heading right up 75, which goes right by me. If you are going to Columbus or Cleveland though you will probably veer off at Cincinatti and miss me by a far piece though.

8 sounds interesting. And I'll assume the game can be paused while I'm away for 4 days since you approved my entry. Who knows, depending on execution times, waiting on me might not cause the game to be too delayed.
