SE5 Multimedia Pack

Keeping with the SE4 tradition of the Image Mod, we have created a new version for SE5, entitled the Multimedia Pack. As with the Image Mod, the purpose is to provide a common base set of image (and sound) files that modders can use in their mods. Players only need to install the packs once in their default SE5 folders, and all mods will be able to use them. Mods should not include any of these files directly, thus saving lots of download time and bandwidth.

The first versions are ready for consumption, including a Components Pack and a Stellar Pack. Enjoy!

Good work here. I suspect that these files will grow significantly over the next couple of years.

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but where exactly the stellar pictures go? And why is the folder called "Stellar 1" and has a subfolder "Models"?

All packs are designed to be extracted directly into the Pictures folder.

Stellar objects require a texture in the Models folder, a model reference in the same folder, and a portrait image in the Planets folder. We set up the Stellar pack to combine these files into one, rather than having separate Models and Planets packs. The current set of textures do not have associated portrait images, so Stellar1.rar only has a Models folder in it.
