				 Is it possible?
I'm changing some of the AI files to build a more challenging AI, and wish to know if there is some way to add more Planet Types in the Default_AI_Planet_Types.txt file, so i can make an AI that does a better use of planets...
Looks like the game ignores planet types other than the default ones...

No, FQM will not help here
I do not think any non standard planet types will work for AI. Pitty.

Actually, the AI files work fine with new planet sizes. It's the SystemTypes file that doesn't work like that.

I think Makinus is asking about _colony_types_ in AI_planet_types.txt, like homeworld, research colony, military outpost, etc. His question is can you add new type like say "tax collection outpost" and make AI to assign planets to this type and build facilities accordingly.

No, the AI only uses the default listed colony types, the best you can do is try to use them creatively. |
