				 Computer Player Bonus
Does anyone know how the numbers work with the computer player bonuses?
I have found that high, really is high and that by turn 20 my DUC2 ship is no match for a fleet of 20 enemy ships with Prop6, Shield3, APB10.(Ok, I may be blowing this a bit out of proportion, but you know what I mean.)

Medium seems a bit more balanced, and easy to catch up to with boarding party ships, but still they progress really fast.

Low I have found my self as the evil empire by turn 40.

 Any opinions and wisdom? Thanks.

Low bonus is a 2x bonus. Medium is 3x bonus. And High is 5x bonus.
Edit: Got beat to it. [ May 20, 2003, 17:36: Message edited by: Ragnarok ]

   | compare "Low bonus is a 2x bonus" with "low X2"

Yes, And how long doesn't it take to write :"--------------------
 Ragnarok
 ---------
"They were armed. With guns," said Omari.
"Canadians. With guns. And a warship. What is this world coming to?"
"Your mother was a hampster, and your father smelt of elderberries."
The dreaded derelict dwelling two ton devil bunny!"

 Every time you post.

I know it takes a lot of time to write my sig everytime, I'm getting a bit tired at it but as everyone else persists in writing their sigs I'll continue to write:

That could be my problem. Too bad these forums don't have an automated system where you can put your sig into a text area and it will post it to your message everytime you reply to something.Quote:

oh yes, then you could just click on update profile and not have to type a lot for every single post.

 lol
oh and did you hear about the "reply" button? that's right, you don't have to copy all the Posts in a thread into a huge notepad file, then create a new thread with all that junk plus your reply - you just hit the "reply" button and the server magically adds your post to the thread!

That's not funny. I occasionally have to do all that (except for the new thread part). I often finding myself shift-clicking on "Post Reply" because I can't remember things in more than one post. Guess it's early Alzheimer's or something.
